Who Qualifies To Get A Bursary Or Student Loan From NSFAS?
The National Student Financial Aid Scheme (NSFAS) has formally opened the 2025 application system.
Applications are now open and can close on fifteen December 2024.
*** Who qualifies for NSFAS funding
To qualify for NSFAS funding, an applicant should fulfill the subsequent requirements:
• Be considered a South African citizen or copyright who comes from a home having a combined gross residence earnings that doesn't exceed R350 000 for every annum.
• Individuals with disabilities qualify if their combined family cash flow won't exceed R600 000 per annum.
• SASSA recipients instantly qualify for funding and wish not submit any proof of earnings.
*** Loan Scheme for the Missing Middle
The NSFAS Loan Scheme for the missing middle is open to all South African citizens and permanent people from homes with combined R350 000 and R600 000 for each annum.
Applicants are reminded to provide the correct Id Doc numbers, names, and surname, as mirrored inside their South African ID.
NSFAS only funds 2025 nsfas application individuals who are studying or plan to research in a public university or TVET college in South Africa.
All students who wish to study in any of the public universities and TVET colleges should apply timeously and not to wait until the last day.
